Love Paul Levintz and Keith Giffen's Legion of Super-Heroes with great inks by Larry Mahlstedt. A seminal series and glory that has yet to be repeated. Just stunning art! Thanks to Michael Lovitz for picking this up for me pre-San Diego a few years ago!

Synopsis for "Siege Perilous"
Bouncing Boy leads a team of Legion Academy trainees in capturing a trio of escaped and rampant space-beasts.

Chameleon Boy and Brainiac 5 join with Element Lad and Shvaughn Erin to uncover the secret of the Legion impostor; Meanwhile, at the Legion Academy, the students are all hoping to be considered for the chance to become the newest Legionnaire, but it's decided that none of them are ready.

Nice use of zip to keep that interior from be too sterile an environment. Lots of that Giffen action and drama thoughout.
