DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Grouping of five Strathmore artboards, each approx. 11x15.75" w/pen and ink original art by Blondie creator Chic Young (1901-1973) for Blondie Monthly Comics #129, published by Harvey Sept. 1959. Story deals w/Dagwood and his neighbor Herb taking drum lessons, w/them ending up fighting by the end of the story. Blondie and Herb's wife Tootsie also make appearances throughout. Back of each artboard has Comics Code Authority inkstamps. Back of last artboard has some rough pencil storyboarding (mostly text). Artboards have tiny pin holes to mark where panels would fall on page and each artboard has inked title and issue/page number at top margin. First artboard has "Blondie In 'Drum-Head Blues'" title stat paste-over which has some aging to part of it. Another artboard has aged text. Artboards are VF overall while art remains clean and Exc.
