Description

From the Finlay estate, this unused prelim was probably one of several that he submitted to the publisher for the Donald Wolheim book, "One Against the Moon." Though not chosen, you can tell that it was getting close to the final version. I have included a scan of my copy of "One Against the Moon" by Donald Wolheim for reference. Published by World Publishing in 1956.

It's the cavernous and alleyway lighting from the Earth's reflections off the sun that makes this scene a great fantasy with a decade and a half before the real moon landing.
