100 Bullets 47 Page 22 (Eduardo Risso) (Jack)

100 Bullets immediately had me interested from the time I picked it up however the moment that absolutely hooked me was the revelation of who ruined Jack's life. The moment captured in this page where Jack makes the connection between his own past and what the tiger is going through was his personal awakening. A very powerful and liberating moment in my opinion.

Artistically, I dig the silhouettes and lens flare effect from the gunmen in the first panel. Love how the shadow cast by Jack and his friend create a tiger like shadow against the stripes of the bars symbolizing the connection shared between Jack (The Monster) and the tiger. The expression of the tiger and Jack on the bottom further go on to show that connection. The silhouette of the first panel fills the space between the rest of the panels creating an awesome dark atmosphere.

There's literally six words on the page but the art says so much. Risso is simply amazing!
