DescriptionThis is a gorgeous Brave and Bold #30 Original Art JLA Splash Page pencilled by Mike Sekowsky and inked by Bernard Sachs! I have been trying to get this page for years! And now I am lucky enough to own it. It is extremely tough to find any pages from Brave and Bold #28, #29 & #30. This page is absolutely Amazing !!It was normal for DC at the time to try-out new concepts in either Showcase or Brave and the Bold to measure sales interest before launching a concept in its own title. This chapter half splash features team members Green Lantern and Aquaman traveling to the Galapagos Islands. In the early JLA stories, the team would typically split into groups of two and go off and solve various parts of a case, which conveniently always had a few different destinations. This gave some breathing room to the stories and allowed Sekowsky to not have to depict all seven members throughout the entire story. Social/Sharing |

Historic early JLA! Aquaman surfing with Green Lantern is a great moment in their characters! Early Silver Age DC magic!

Superb Golden Age page from Mike Sekowsky! Is there anyone who better typified the Golden Age than Sekowsky? Just a great example of his super-hero work. This Green Lantern/Aquaman splash is jaw dropping! Congrats!

Showcase was the birthplace of the Silver Age. What a wonderful piece of DC comics history.
