YEAHHHHH!!! What a great little story and series of pages. The ashcan was the hit of Heroes con and the OA to the story is so full of life and energy. DWJ is on fire!!!

What a capper to this story!  Awesome crowd reaction shot complete with ecstatic grins, hugging wrestling fanatics, and a familiar face or two from past DWJ tales.  Love the ref's pose and stoic expression

The money shot! Does the ref really need to hold Liger's hand up AND point to him? The other homie's soul is in the astral plane...pretty obvious who won this one.

Now this was a great way to start my day!

Spectacular.  Great call out on that small inset ("grab!") - it completely defines the rhythm of the action, pausing for just the smallest of beats so that the crowd's sonic explosion echoes that much more ferociously.  And again with the lettering!  Has anyone done as much with incorporating atmospheric and non-computer/superimposed lettering into their work since Dave Sim or Paul Pope?  Superb capper to the story, man.  Rich and brilliant work.

Great looking splash. Once again though, I'm even more fascinated by the marvelous euphoric facial expressions of all the denizens in the crowd in the first panel!

i never knew Liger had his own book. this is a heck of a deal and congrats on getting the whole book.
