Lovely caricaturist style used. It really goes for the exaggerated features which can be a turn off and lovely at the same time with how the elegant thin line offers no do-overs and must be nailed on one pass.
Hempel's style is like a twisted Al Hirschfeld with a little Utamaro thrown in for good measure.
