DescriptionSo this piece has an interesting story… my friend Larry and I were chit chatting about pieces we were going to sell in the last CAF Live and he showed me this piece… I absolutely loved it but was a bit short on art funds at the time so I said Larry can you put that one away and let me buy it at a later time lol.. and he did! So last weekend we were both at heroes con and he brought it down and now it is mine! If you’ve looked at my gallery you know I am a Phoenix fan.. so this obviously hits home.. but what really drew me to this one was the cosmic aspect of the scene. I joke with some friends who collect cosmic marvel (Space Marvel!!!) but I have always kind of thought of Phoenix as the mutant contribution to space marvel.. dating all the way back to her beating up Firelord to establish her power level.. to the Shi’ar and even the whole planet eating thing… so this beautiful splash with all of the powerhouses of Cosmic Marvel showing reverence or subservience to the Phoenix really hit home! Never read this one but the image is perfect. Kevin Maguire does a wonderful job here and I’ve always admired his work dating back to Justice League so very happy all around to add this to the collection! Thanks Larry!Social/Sharing |

Such a beautiful splash. Glad I was able to see this in person in Charlotte at Rob's place.

I like that guy on the bottom right wears a jersey to support his team The "Cosmos". Phoenix looks to be more powerful than all those Space Marvel beings in awe of her.

Loved this miniseries, and love this page. This may be the best splash of the entire series.
