Bill said "This started out as one of many Adkins penciled and half inked drawings he sent to me shortly before his death, when he knew he'd never get back to them. I'd been selling his drawings on eBay for quite awhile, having started together with Dan on our ambitions to make careers in art, now closing together. I look through those drawings occasionally, and am usually inspired to finish a couple."
