Cover with a beautiful warrior from 1968 in format 12" x 16".

Bernie Wrightson originally made the artwork for the cover of the „Ontario Science Fiction Club“ Fanzine. But the most famous publication of the drawing was in the wonderful „Berni Wrightson Treasury“ on page 14 (see additional pics). A amazing and early black and white publication with lot`s of covers and masterful artwork in the prime of Bernie`s art from 1975, Omnibus Publishing.

The artist mentioned in the interview of that issue, he particularly was influenced by the novels of Robert E. Howard (Conan the cimmerian) and inspired by Frank Frazetta`s stunning drawing style. Also these 2 important influences are clearly visible in this dragon slayer. 1967 a meeting with Frank Frazetta at a comic convention inspired Bernie Wrightson to pursue his dream of becoming a comic book artist.
