Description I can't recall where I saw Mirko's work first, but I'm delighted that I did. I set up a commission, paid a little extra for the the 'hatch' option, and let him loose. I knew that he had an affinity for the Endless and he absolutely slayed this piece. Beyond just the incredible way he has conceptualized and rendered this piece, he is truly gifted with the ability to express body language. I was going to say that I particularly love Dream's pose in this illustration, but then I realized that EVERY character is posed perfectly. Delighted to share this with you, and the artist posted plenty of process updates on their instagram. It's a big scan - get in there! Social/Sharing |

Ooooh, it's like "What if Franklin Booth had lived to draw Sandman?". Very impressive. Hopefully it wasn't necessary to have to threaten to strangle him to deliver this to you!

After four decades of collecting, I thought I had seen it all in terms of style and technique. But it's always fun and exciting to be proven wrong. This is endlessly fascinating (sorry, couldn't resist). And, of course, love that big hand holding the book.
