Description

How about a little modern (or what I call 'future vintage') Javier cut his teeth on several Spawn-related pages and now has been doing some cover work for marvel.

In this cover we have Wolverine is classic 'claws out, rabid ferret' action shot.

But the page is ripped to shreds and as they overlap Wolvie you see Weapon-X, classic Wolverine uniform and more callbacks.

This art literally peels wolverine's background like an onion!

Very cool that in this day and age that Fernandez didn't go all digital to craft this complex cover. It shreds open his past with each wound exposing a little bit of what made him who he is, the best at what he does.

I was wondering the lucky person who snagged this one. Javier continues to evolve and really enjoy his style. The different juxtaposed versions of Wolvie was so well executed. Congrats Scott

Killer! Like that onion peel analogy - totally see it. Pops of red, zipatone, some spatter...lotsa different techniques merge for a suh-weet image! Congrats!
