Description

Artist Andrew Howat, and the theme is the Australian explorers Burke and Wills.

When the starving, thirst-parched men reached Cooper's Creek, with its wooden stockade, they found it deserted. Yet there were recent traces of cattle and horses, and burnt-out fires. Where had the depot party got to?
