Death of the Swordsman! Epic issue that continued from Avengers 129 storyline. Back when they weren't afraid to put big storyline events in these bigger issues to make them really matter. Incredibly powerful cover!
Awesome cover, love the composition and the galactic background. Looks like the Kang figure is a paste-over; is there a different character underneath? Or more likely Romita changed Kang's face and gave him that great glaring expression.
Underneath Kang is Doctor Doom. This was revealed in FOOM #8 and they showed a pic of the original lineup of Immortus/Dr Doom/Kang(different version than the one used and in fact that original Kang looked a bit more like a Celestial)
So remeber this when it came out...JR SR and crew
