Being the lucky owner of the next page , I can say this sequence is super charged with emotional historical baggage . It is impossible to look at these pages without thinking of all the drama bound to unfold . Just beautiful !

Wow - awesome, memorable page from the birth of Phoenix - and Wolverine and Storm to boot!

Fantastic page which shows the sacrifice Jean Grey made that would lead to short term victory as part of the ultimate tragedy.

Yes, we now know what comes next and all the emotions connected to it, but what I still find the first three panels where, after Jean gives Wolverine the business (forcing him to skulk off quietly), to be quite effective.

Redonkulous! Cream of the crop so far. I presume we can look forwards to a complete issue of Watchmen, Byrne XMen or Crisis? The missing Killing Joke pages? A few choice Sandman pieces? Or maybe just Kirby's FF 1 pages???

amazong reveals as ever Steve.

Wonderfully emotional Cockrum page!  Of course nowadays they'd just have Wolverine save the day since he's now basically immortal.
