Unexpected #162 -- 7 page color separation

Comics were were printed using metal plates. Each page had 4 metal plates for the different colors to be used. (Black, Cyan, Red, Yellow) The printer would use the color guide to somehow make these plates.

The printer would make a proof and send to the editor.

Here is the cover to Unexpected issue #162. The final cover is in the middle. Around the frame in the corners are the results from each of the separate color plates.

The additional image is result of combining the Red/Yellow and the Red/Yellow/Cyan plates

Later I think these were printed on celluloid (cells) but this item is 7 separate paper pages that were stapled together.
