Ethen Beavers New Gods Conceptual Study Preliminary and Finished Compositions Original Art Group of 2(2019). Beavers, one of the more visionary re-interpreters of Jack Kirby's revolutionary New Gods concepts, finds heroic Orion in a stalwart pose, with an effigy of world-beating villain Darkseid. Powerfully rendered in (1) a rehearsal drawing and (2) a finished composition. The preliminary piece comprises graphite and colored pencils on bond, measuring 8.5" x 11"; the other, ink over graphite on Bristol board, measuring approximately 10" x 15". Very Good condition (conceptual piece); Excellent condition (finished composition).
