'Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-Blog' began as a short film project for bored Hollywood creatives during a writer's strike. Its tale of a lovelorn supervillain and a vainglorious "hero" struck an immediate chord with audience. A literal chord, since it was in fact a musical, accompanied by a commentary track with a completely different musical about its production.

Comic books fueled the story, so comic books made a natural follow-up, including this multi-story publication, largely written by Zach Whedon. This story sheds light on the villainous Evil League of Evil, more discussed than seen in the musical. So, meet Bad Horse, Dead Thomas Jefferson, and the rest of their nasty crew.
