11x17 commission by Graham Nolan 2022. This was a fun one. Mr. Nolan was nice enough to let me add quite a lot of input into the whole commission. Obviously, he did all the amazing talented work but I did have some specific visual requests during each stage of the process.

Mr. Nolan showcased the preliminary drawing on his Facebook livestream as he was making some edits that I requested. There was also some debate on his livestream chat and his social media posts on whether this was the first time Bane was depicted tearing off and holding the Bat-signal. I think the consensus was that this might be the first time? I just know I've had this image in my head for a long time and I'm sure someone else must have as well. So, if you see it drawn in any published comic or other format or even another commission let me know.

Overall, this was such a memorable experience and the collaborative effort is a big reason I continue to enjoy getting commissions from my favorite artists.

A great design by Graham Nolan with the Batsignal held above like it was part of a cover logo. It does look cover quality by composition and execution. The shadow of the bat on the bricks with the rain effect adds to the atmosphere of this dramatic conflict as seen from below.
