I was literally walking out the door on Sunday of SDCC 2004 when I saw that Tom Beland (True Story Swear to God) was sketching at AIT/PlanetLar's booth. I explained the conceit of the sketchbook and this is what he put together. Tom's got to be one of my favorite professionals: (almost) never in a hurry, happy to sketch and chat about comics and whatever else comes up; he's just cool as hell. This is my wife's favorite piece from the entire book.
