DescriptionThis was a pre-done that Jesse had with him. I had seen the image on social media and luckily it was still available when I first went by Jesse's table. Like a fool, I took a day to think about it, and the next day I smartened up.It's an absolutely mesmerizing piece, and will demand a frame. This stamping process that Jesse is experimenting with has untold potential and is an absolutely genius move. The finished product has texture and depth. Shades of Jeffrey Alan Love. I guess the JLs stick together! Jesse posted a full process video too! (sound on, groove boogie) Social/Sharing |

Jealous of this one, man! Moving on to color from his initial experiments with black stamps was a serious leveling up. UGH. Congrats?

You made your choice. Now get into bed with Mystique and tell her to be Jesse.

His color work in this piece is so good and just highlights the terror that is Galactus!

Jesse is a friend
Yeah, I know, he's got Galactus in mind
But lately drawings changed that ain't hard to define
Jesse’s got himself a stamp and I want art to be mine
And he’s drawing him with those lines
And he’s inking him for that body, I just know it
Yeah, purple stamping him in his arms late, late at night
You know, I wish that it was
Jesse’s world
I wish that I had Jesse’s world
Where can I find Lonergan like that?

The use of textures in the background really make for an out of this world feel. A unique and very nice piece from Lonergan. He really nailed this one.

You know, life has been so busy recently, I haven't had as much time to appreciate my portfolios as much as I may have a couple years ago - need to remedy that.

Good heavens! No, make that GREAT heavens - AMAZING HEAVENS!! I'm madly in love with this stamp technique now. Such a powerfully creative tool, used so effectively to convey texture and depth to the galactic-scale backgrounds here. (Especially effective if you unfocus your eyes... or just remove your readers... Getting old, FTW!!) A breathtaking showstopper, M L. Gorgeous pick up! Congrats!
