DescriptionJack Kirby, Joe Sinnott, and Marie Severin Thor #258 Grey Gargoyle Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). The Grey Gargoyle is showcased in this classic Kirby cover, the artist's last cover for this series. Marie Severin stepped in and added a few art corrections to this fantastic Kirby/Sinnott cover, and thanks to the Joltin' One's dazzling inks, the stone texture really comes across superbly. This ink on Bristol piece has an image area of 10" x 15".The warriors three and Lady Sif all turned to stone and Thor is last man standing....I am still betting on Thor. Love the fingers digging into the mast. Those little details always thrill me cause the artist spent time to give the piece some power and movement that sells it. Social/Sharing |

Super cool Kirby cover to one of my favorite issues of Thor. I remember buying this one off the spinner rack. Huge congratulations.

Omigosh! What a spectacular Kirby/Sinnott/Severin cover! If this is indeed Kirby's last cover, he sure went out with a bang! Great pick-up!
