Of all the artists that could have recreated this cover, it seems the most natural would have been Miller himself or Paul Pope bringing a true understanding of what Miller intended the audience to see.

Mind. Blown. What a stunning take on the Dark Knight Returns by the incredible Paul Pope! I've always thought there was a touch of Frank Miller in Pope's work and this commission nails it.
