Paul Smith drew the X-Men #24 villain the Locust in this Day of the Locust blog post describing the merits of early X-Men artist Werner Roth who was the main artist following Jack Kirby. In his conclusion, Paul reaches out Werner’s sons Jay and Gavin. I started reading X-Men with issue #78 when Marvel was reprinting the Werner Roth stories. Fun and kooky X-Villain! His shadow below leaves a nice buggy shape. As usual, the Paul Smith inking is his own, but adjusted to the subject matter if paying homage.
