Description
The idea for this sketchbook commission was for something in the style of the More Fun Comics 57 cover with a giant-sized Spectre towering over a couple of thugs. I also asked for the Spectre's human host, policeman Jim Corrigan, included in the piece. Joe drew this wonderful piece in his style, with SIX thugs vainly fighting the Spectre. Jim Corrigan's pose is apropos of Joe's run on Dick Tracy between 2011 and 2021. Thank you Joe and Hilarie!

A great golden age composition to show crime doesn't pa!  The law and supernatural forces will punish evil doers to set an example and send a message to kids to always do good!

Really incredible commission. Between his long association with the JSA and his amazing work in the mystery & detective genres, Joe Staton was the perfect artist to draw this piece.
