Description(February 1987) (DC Comics) Designed like that of a vintage movie poster, this incredible page 1 title splash has the entire JSA featured: Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, Starman, Spectre, Hawkman, Doctor Mid-Nite, Johnny Thunder, Flash, Hourman, Black Canary, Atom, Sandman, Wildcat, and Fury (of Infinity, Inc.). IMHO, Todd McFarlane’s “Infinity, Inc. #35” page 1 title splash is not only the best page in this entire issue, but it’s most definitely a “cover quality image” that is better than many of the covers in the “Infinity, Inc.” 50-Issue Series. Simply put, no artist illustrates “capes” like Todd McFarlane does and with this “Infinity, Inc. #35” page 1 title splash, he literally went into “capes overload”! Originally won from “Heritage Auctions” on December 7, 2002, it would take 20-Years to complete my goal of attaining signatures from the 4-Chief Creative Talents that rendered this majestic page 1 title splash: Todd McFarlane, Tony DeZuniga, Roy Thomas and his wife, Dann Thomas. Todd McFarlane’s autograph I got when he was doing a rare, early McFarlane Toys MLB action figure release signing appearance at the Toys “R” Us flagship store in NYC’s Times Square. Several years later, a close friend of mine met Tony DeZuniga at a convention in California which is where he had him sign this stunning page 1 title splash. While Roy Thomas would occasionally attend comic book conventions, Dann Thomas would rarely do so. On the unique chance that Dann Thomas would travel to a show with her husband, Roy Thomas, she would usually do anything in town but attend the convention where her husband was a guest. Well, on Saturday November 19, 2022 I finally scored autographs by both Roy & Danette Thomas at “The 2022-New Jersey CollectorFest”! This very special show saw Roy Thomas making his first East Coast post COVID-19 con appearance which had a glorious VIP gathering celebrating Roy’s 82nd Birthday. So, after 20-Years of great perseverance and patience, my quest has ultimately been completed. ‘Nuff said. (13” x 20”) (Antony de Zuñiga: 11/8/1932 to 5/11/2012)Social/Sharing |

Very nice to see. Todd was very design oriented when he was working on this title.

Keif, a truly stunning and significant splash. It features so many of DC's most revered characters, especially Dr Fate, a personal favorite. Reading your description about your quest to get all the signatures was astounding to say the least. It did not surprise me though. Because I witnessed firsthand how diligently and intensely you persue your creator signatures. It's almost supernatural how you managed to obtain some of them. Congrats on another stunner for your amazing collection.

Nick, few people know me as well as you do and this is the main reason that I covet your thoughts so much and consider you such a glorious friend😎
