DescriptionJoëlle Jones, Wonder Woman splash page, you got me. This is a page that I really, really wanted because, not only is it a great splash of Wonder Woman, it shows off all the things that make Joëlle's work so mesmerizing. Joëlle has always been top notch at drawing female characters (see her Catwoman run) and she doesn't disappoint here, but the thing about this page that really had me was the background compositions. The bat signal in the background is very cool for sure, but the main thing that shines is her execution around the rain; the work she does to show the water pooling on the ground, the ripples in it as a rain drop hits, and, most impressively, how she executes the reflection image on the water make this page really stand out. I love everything about this splash page.Social/Sharing |

Rain effect is awesome, and I LOVE the reflection at the bottom as a result! A wonder of a woman, indeed! Congrats!

A great deal of work to get that pooling and blur distortion effect done. It's glory leaves us as baffled as Gordon.

Joelle is a master and this beautiful cover proves it. So many great elements but that reflection in the water is the true standout. Congrats!

Brilliant splash page in its composition and line work. The water reflection is a masterpiece in its affect of indicating that WW is a Batman. Beautiful WW and Bat Singal. Nice pickup.

Gorgeous image of Wonder Woman standing beside the Bat Signal by Joëlle Jones! Beautifully composed and artfully inked! Love the reflection of WW and the Bat Signal on the rain-slicked rooftop. The bewildered image of Jim Gordon looking on is just an added bonus! Stunning pick-up!

Now THIS is a splash page. The top half of the image is stellar but the reflection on the bottom half puts it over the top! Congrats on picking this up.
