My goal this year was to post 52 pieces. With five days to go I'm ten pieces short, so I'll be posting a minimum of two sketches a day for the rest of the year. All the pieces will be by artist Bart Sears.

Back in 2018 I was lucky enough to buy a nice size collection of Bart Sears sketches from collector Darrin Wiltshire. 12 pieces in total. All DC characters (obviously) and characters Bart is not known to draw.

Ultra Boy of the Legion of Superheroes. I don't think I've seen Bart do the LSH. While not a big fan of the LSH, I do like Ultra Boy. Here he cuts an imposing figure, I think Barts style fits this version of the LSH (I'm thinking about an adult Legion a la the 5YL series). Dated 2010.

Uh, did you pass out while typing out the 3rd line in the 3rd paragraph? Now you have to leave it that way, otherwise nobody will understand this comment! Gotta say, Ultra Boy with Sears' musculature looks pretty cool.

Powerhouse image as always by Sears! He takes realistic anatomy to a heightened level as it looks like some good Neal Adams Megalith influence with this pose.

As a fan of Sears since picking up JLE #1 oh so many years ago, I love this image of one of the best Legionnaires (Ultra Boy's depiction during 5YL was one of the many highlights of that series).
