Description
I remember buying this comic off the stands and being amazed by it, and not just the Flash story, but also the Dr. Fate back up story with incredible art by Keith Giffen and Larry Mahlstedt. And though those Giffen Dr. Fate pages went for a nice amount and I didn't get any, I was happy to get this cover. Especially with the battle Flash had with Mirror Master and the touching ending.

And the fact that Infantino drew Fate, not much out there that I can find!

Synopsis for "Through a Glass, Permanently!"

The Mirror Master falls in love with an Atlantean beauty trapped in a mirror for thousands of years, and arranges a trap for the Flash that will liberate her.

For me, a classic and memorable issue. Not only because I'm a huge Flash fan, but when I started collecting and reading in 1982, up around these parts this issue was a $5.00 wall book already, due to the Giffen Dr Fate art in the back up story!

A wall book? When I was kid we didn't have walls. We would all take turns standing around giving the once person in the middle warmth. And if it rained? Well, that was a bad night.

One of my favorite covers from Infantino's second run on his signature character.  Both Barry Allen/The Flash and Infantino are forever linked to the earth-2 JSA, ever since the JSA's return in "Flash of Two Worlds," and having the original art to a Flash cover featuring Dr. Fate drawn by Infantino must be wonderful!
