Frozen: Elsa of Arendelle

This was both a challenge and a privilege because it was for the daughter of a dear friend from high school. Etched on 11 x 14" is Queen Elsa of Arendelle from the Disney hit "Frozen." With more mixed media and a dozen headaches as to how I was going to pull this off, there is a lot that went into completing this. Using tons of photo reference and assistance from someone I deeply trust, I did my best to maintain a pastel aesthetic going into this project. Too many black lines would have lost the three-dimensional feel of the film, so I confined myself to Copics and Prismacolors. Admittedly, though, the scan made Elsa look more pale than intended. I will try to rectify this as best I can, so this photo will be updated. Regardless, I'm very proud of the addition of Olaf as a demonstration of her magic. The snowflake was also something of a challenge to both find as well as etch but the result is satisfactory.
