He who fights and runs away may live to fight another day; but he who is battle slain can never rise to fight again. - Oliver Goldsmith
I am loving these Spidey daily updates of yours! Also, that third panel is perfection.
Spider-man is a wuss... running from sabertooth... ugh...
I pity whomever Sabretooth comes across, on the street, as he pursues Spider-Man.
"I'll get you next time Heeeeeeeee-Man!!!"
First of all, I would to thank the many, many fans throughout this community that wrote cards and letters to Throbby Loads, The Comic Art Dream, while I was down. Secondly, I want to thank Bill Lash promotions for waitin’ and takin’ the time ‘cause I know how important it was, Art-Cade ‘23 it is to the Dueling fans, it is to Billigan promotions, and Throbby Loads The Comic Art Dream. With that wait, I got what I wanted, James Flair the World’s Heavyweight Collector. I don’t have to say a whole lot more about the way I feel about James Flair; no respect, no honor. There is no honor amongst bidders in the first place.
He put hard times on Throbby Loads and his portfolios. You don’t know what hard times are daddy. Hard times are when the art dealers around this country are out of Galactus art, they got 4 or 5 sketches and can’t pay for pages, can’t buy their covers. Hard times are when the art flippers are out of work and they tell ‘em go eBay. And hard times are when a man has looked for Sandman art for thirty years, thirty years, and he has to put auction on watch, bids kick him in the butt and say “hey a computer took their bids, daddy”, that’s hard times! That’s hard times! And James Flair you put hard times on the art community by takin’ Throbby Loads out, that’s hard times. And we all had hard times together, and I admit, I don’t look like the Galactus of the day supposed to look. My helmet’s just a lil’ big, my haunches’ a lil’ big, but brother, I am bad. And they know I’m bad.
There were two bad people… One was Thanos and he’s dead brother, and the other’s right here. Bunk Bed Boy James Flair, the Amateur Dueling title belongs to these people. I’mma reach out right now, I want you at home to know my hand is touchin’ your hand for the gathering of the biggest body of people in this community, in this universe, all over the world now, Silver Surfing out because the cosmic power that was given me and this time I will repay you now. Because I will be the next Amateur Dueling Champion on this hard time blues. Throbby Loads tour, 1/30/23.
And James Flair, Bunk Bed Boy… Let me leave you with this. One way to hurt James Flair, is to claim what he cherishes more than anything in the world and that’s the Amateur Dueling title. I’m gon’ claim it, I been there twice. This time when I take it daddy, I’m gon’ duel it for you. Let’s gap here for it. Don’t let me down now, ‘cause I came back for you, for that Thanos that snapped 4 years ago and never got the opportunity to see a real World’s Champion. And I’m proud of you, thank god I have you, and I love you. I love you!
Ah, who cares about the scripting? The content is where it's at!
What?!? That's IT?!!? Spidey SWINGS AWAY from Sabretooth? Well, I guess in his defense, he really -didn't know- where Wolverine was... Such a fun run of strips, M L! Thanks for sharing them in true daily fashion! Congrats, sir!
I am left wanting more --- mission accomplished by Stan the Man, and each of these strips looks great!
Egzzzactly! Bone OUT. "We'll meet again, Spider-man!!" Maybe. Nice batch o' dailies, M!
A great sequence of dailies. If I'm Sabretooth, I'm going to the jetpack store so I can fly after Spidey next time.
Wowza! Love this sequence of a week's worth of Spider-Man strips! It's fun to see how Lieber and Saviuk paced the story over a week's run. The pacing is different from a comic book. This strip is a particularly nice one, with three panels featuring Spidey from different angles. That final panel is just killer!
Really great pose in that final panel.
love me some Spidey dailies
