Description

Although I do like realism, impressionism is my favorite type of art. Showing you an image that you know what it is, but the proportions are off in a good way, an artistic way. Ramos captures that magic for me as he skirts the line between realism and impressionism.

Genius! The angles Ramos uses and tilt of the camera to set this energetic scene up is very clever. A strong base allows for the thrust of the arm and mannerisms to make this whole splash work.

I totally agree: realism is good, but impressionism is better. Very powerful image!

Fantastic Humberto Ramos splash! Love Ramos' technique here--Stylized but not too stylized! He doesn't try to be overly realistic, but focuses on dramatizing the scene. Great pick-up!

Love the facial expressions! Ramos certainly ratchets up the drama on his pages with his not-too-realistic characters. Loving it!
