Description

Have had this since 1976 and just now identified the book! It had Heinlein written on the back but back then there was no internet to look up editions of books. Lehr prelims are nice as he is abstract enough that they are often as nice as the finished paintings.

That's just an amazing tale to go with this piece. I would be writing the information and this story on the back in ink with the satisfaction of a long journey completed. The painting is so good with the bird and the background that the title might not have even mattered too much.

Great cover! I remember reading the book (different cover) as a teenager and loving the story.

I discovered I had acopy of the book one of gthe few Heinlein's I have never read and with the Lehr cover so I started reading the story last night which so far is really good and really different than a normal Heinlein- my guess is it is from Unknown as the ook also inlcudes his Weird tales story!
