CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!15x20" heavy art board contains 9.5x13" pen and ink illustration of Abraham Lincoln lying on the floor, fireside in front of Mary Todd embroidering in a rocking chair by Jack Davis. Illustration was one of a series done for the Random House book "Meet Abraham Lincoln" by Step-Up Books ©1965. Printed in a duotone fashion w/a brownish tint. Art is currently in a mechanical state w/a construction paper cover sheet (split on sides but attached in center) and two vellum sheets for the tan and grey overprint inks. Extra sheets are all moderately aged. One vellum sheet has a torn corner but included. The artboard border shows moderate aging/handling wear and has a split at bottom center. Some lt. staining on back of board. Image area has been nicely protected by overlays and appears Exc. overall. Signed at right in blue pen "Jack Davis".
