I really like pages with a single top panel and and single bottom panel because they are mini-splashes that effectively tell a story and are visually appealing, at least to me. On the other hand, the top panel is a bit absurd because a couple of tank shells should have obliterated the grounded plane, but it is a comic so...

The bottom panel is the most striking part of the page because of Heath's drawing of the pilot of the doomed bomber getting shot up after throwing his molotov cocktail. The panel overall is astonishing for its mix of fire, explosions, burning tanks, bullets hitting the dirt, sound effects, and Jeb Stuart running towards the pilot.

PS - Yes, the third panels' German commander in the burning tank does have an eye patch in the story. It's not an inking or penciling mistake.
