It was a great cover to work from and I got to include an obscure DC character ( who himself is a homage to Dr Stephen Strange !)

Yes, it's Antonio Stefanacci that appeared during the Great Darkness Saga and more relevantly also in the Magic Wars. I don't see Antonio as too obscure because he has his own individual entry in Who's Who in the Legion.
For a moment, I thought he was Extraño from the New Guardians from the Millennium crossover.
