Description

Alex Raymond Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 09/28/53 (King Features Syndicate, 1953).
Detective Kirby takes the forensic route, tracing evidence of murder back to a Third World sacrificial cult. Kirby's butler, Desmond, makes a sardonic cameo appearance.
A brilliantly cinematic composition from one of comics' undisputed masters of storytelling.
Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20" x 5.25".
