I think Samnee homages a lot of Steranko through the ages. The dangling phone handset is a nod to the implied sex page from Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD #2. The spiral checkerboard pattern and the shadows from the blinds are also classic Steranko-isms.

TBH I'm not normally a fan of 1) Samnee or 2) Commissions but this piece absolutely floors me. It has every element I appreciate in a great piece of art and I couldn't be more jealous if I wanted to. I may have to rethink my position on what I'm a fan of.
