Description

I commissioned Drew Posada to digitally colour "Nurse Candy" for the production of a line of WHOOPS! pin-up girl stickers.

How many of you have read the comic strip about how WHOOPS! started? It�s at the front of the Sketches & Drawings book I published for Armando in 2007. Do you know how hard it was to convince Armando to draw the first WHOOPS! character? We were fighting about it for hours! I told him that I wanted a nurse.

�No way! I�m a real pin-up artist now and I don�t want to return to drawing those crappy toons.�

I threatened to drive him to LAX and send his ass back to Mexico. �LAX!� is what I always used to say to him when he argued with Me. Armando is probably the most stubborn person I�ve ever known in My life so I gave up and walked away. Later, he walked up to Me and handed Me a piece of paper with a nurse on it. I called her �Nurse Candy�. He told Me that she was going to be the only one. Fast forward 13 years later and lo and behold, he ended up drawing over 300 WHOOPS! characters.
