The background is just incredible! It makes up for the two tone costume and allows the color white to be play a big part in the energy it has.
Marcus is (as per usual) SPOT ON (I mean seriously - look at all those spots!): the backgrounds here propel this thing into the stratosphere (and the bright colors work in beautiful counterpoint to the darker royal threads), but I love the white space left, too... I think it would be too much if the background extended over the whole thing. I love how the pattern is "negative space Kirby Krackle"... Less Kirby Krackle and more McKone McSizzle...? This must be absolutely stunning in 11x17! Congrats on the pick up, Matthew!
