Conan Record Album Art by John Romita

11x17" Blue Line artboard has pen and ink original art on 6-7/8x7.25" vellum panel applied to center. Art is by legendary Spider-Man artist John Romita Sr. and shows Conan playing a cello while his "Barbarian" bandmates play violins. This single panel of art was featured among nine others on back of the Lifesong "Spider-Man: Rock Reflections Of A Superhero" record release and ©1976 Marvel Comics Group. Romita also provided the art for the album's front cover. Art has "Strings: Conan And The Barbarians" text block paste-over as well as small trademark symbol paste-over. Romita has boldly signed at lower right in black felt tip pen. Great art from a wonderfully weird 1970s Marvel item. See the Silver Surfer art from this lp also in my gallery.
