Artist: Bernard Herbert Robinson (1930-2004)
Title: Ichthyostega & Eogyrinus in Carboniferous swamp
Medium: Watercolour on board
Size: Image size 152mm x 425mm; board size 179mm x 520mm
Signed: Twice, ‘Robinson’ at bottom left of right image, and mid left of left image.
Notes: Underneath the painting is the publishing info written in pencil. From L-R: 6, Ichthyostega, 7, Eogyrinus in Carboniferous swamp, Text on green position as opposite page.
Most likely published in a 1970/80s dinosaur book (unable to locate which one yet). Publishing info is pencilled below, including the numbers 6 (left side), and 7 (right side) – I guess these are the page numbers.
Robinson was a profuse illustrator of dinosaurs and paleo art in the 1970-80s and was very much a fan favourite in this scene!
