Young Justice 27 pg 5 by Todd Nauck

I enjoyed the Young Justice book a lot. Fun art by Todd Nauck and stories by writers like Todd Dezago (Creator) and Peter David on Volume 1 and featuring the junior partners of the day. The kids acted like kids and the artwork properly reflected them as adolescents. Good stuff.

As for why I bought this? It's simple, I love crowd scenes and the series.

To set the scene, The Slag have invaded Myrg and Young Justice can send them on down the road IF they beat them in a game of baseball. They needed another player and thought of Arrowette though she'd retired and wanted nothing to do with super-hero business.

That brings us to this splash. Who do we have on the page? It goes as follows from left to right:

• Arrowette, Cassie King-Jones, daughter of the original
  
• Wonder Girl, Cassie Sandsmark (lots of Cassies on this team and apparently there are never enough Wonder Girls)
  
• Superboy, Conner Kent (Kon-El), the clone of Superman and Lex Luthor (long story, but a fun character)
  
• Secret, Gretta Hayes, she's dead (longer story)
  
• Empress, Anita Fite
  
• Li'l Lobo, a de-aged Lobo (even longer story
  
• Impulse, Bart Allen, grandson of Barry Allen born in the 30th century and send to 21st because 30th century science couldn't save his life (longest story, -1000 years long)
  

The note along the side of the page reads, "Jason (Wright, colorist) & Digi-Cham - Secret's hat is a smoke construct. A real one would not stay on her smoky head. Todd."

The series is way better than I expected. Glad to have this page.
