Description

So a while ago I sold my Sentry example by Romita Sr. and didn't have a way of replacing it. The piece went to a great new home, and I got money to buy my new computer. So one day I was digging around on theartistschoice.com and came across this piece here. I put my claim on it and waited......and waited.....and waited.

Eventually enough time passed to where I knew the piece had probably sold. Well, a while later I found this piece up for auction on ComicLink. I decided then and there that I would make sure to win this auction. I have to say the auction ended with a thud due to a lack of bidders. I ended up being the winning bidder at a price point that was $100 below the price listed on theartistschoice.com which had me grinning.

So now the art...this is a nice image of the Sentry taking a well deserved break LOL! Having been drawn by the team of Mark Bagley and Danny Miki only adds to its greatness. Thanks go out to the person who decided to put this up for auction, and please enjoy the scan!

Great piece! They made it look like a period accurate splash when published. Sentry down and out adds to the complexity of the character.

Funny how sometimes you think you've missed out on something and it pops up again, giving you a second chance. Congrats on picking up a very cool Avengers page by the amazing Mark Bagley and the equally amazing Danny Miki!
