I determined that for Lake Como Comic Art Festival, I wasn't going to commission any of the artists to draw what I wanted. I was going to choose from the works that they brought to represent themselves not only in style but subject matter. Peach Momoko brought a bunch of superhero drawings, but this one struck me as coming out of left field. Maybe it's some well known character in Japan? Or maybe her own creation. Either way, it's not something which would have occurred to me to request. I showed this piece to some French artists in attendance, and they were quite excited by it and asked me to show them where Peach's table was.

You chose well! I love this on so many levels and I think folks forget that Peach excels at horror. Congrats on this one and welcome to the Peach club!

People tend to forget that she did Demon Days mixing Japanese folklore and dark fantasy with the Marvel Universe. It has an edge and body horror that shows off her dark side of imagination.

Like Frank mentioned, Peach really does excel at horror (in addition to cute manga-style characters), and this is her going back to that well. Congrats on picking this up!
