Cinacros (1996)
Pencils and inks by Juan Vlasco

Context: For those unfamiliar with the mexican comic book industry, after the comics boom that followed "The Death of Superman" and Image Comics, many attempts to mimick its success were done by several artists and newly fund companies; in one of those attemps there was this infamous comic called Cinacros, it is known for being labeled as "the worst mexican comic book" and it basically was some sort of Spawn wannabe but with some really bad artwork in its 7 issue run.

I got this drawing by Juan Vlasco from his widow Jacqueline with no info on it. Five months later after gathering some info on these illustrations, Gustavo Rubio told me this character was Cinacros so I decided to look more info on Twitter and found out that prior to the published version, RG Llarena (editor at Opus Comics, previously editor at Heavy Metal) and Paco Medina were attached to the project... Cinacros was published in 1997, this drawing is from 1996 and it is very likely that Juan Vlasco was attached to the project too at some point in time. The final art of Cinacros was done by another team, none of the artists previously mentioned (as far as I know).
