TUBBY/BUDDY VINTAGE DAILY STRIP BY DOC WINNER DECEMBER 29, 1923

This strip ran twice.  The first time as TUBBY on 12-29-1923, then as BUDDY in 1934.  The artist Doc Winner was a very versatile artist and was considered a syndicate "trouble shooter", as he could mimic various artist's styles and was often used to fill in when artists were sick or could not make their deadlines.  He took over Segar's POPEYE strip for a time and eventually became the artist for the strip ELMER. This 6 x 20" daily strip is in great shape. Sold "AS-IS. All Sales Final.
