Description

SOLD!!! We met Thomas Gianni at the San Diego Comicon around 2000.� He had a booth featuring many of his paintings which included recreations from pulp magazine covers.� My friend decided to hire Gianni to recreate the cover to a 1938 CAPTAIN SATAN cover complete with lettering.� Thomas was not keen on the aspect of all the lettering, but my friend insisted and paid extra to get all the cover text included.� It added months to the commission, but it finally arrived and looked great.� I ended up with the painting nearly 20 years later, it still looks great.� A huge 22 x 28" canvas framed to 27 x 33".� Thomas Gianni was a great artist, as is his brother Gary Gianni.� He could also be found in many courtrooms where he was hired to draw legal scenes.� Thomas passed away March 30, 2020 at the age of 60. I was lucky enough to be in contact with Thomas Gianni and he wrote about hating to do all the lettering in a February 7, 2020 email.� I didn't know he had been dealing with health issues, and less that 2 months later he was gone.� His art has found its way into many high end collections. THIS PAINTING HAS BEEN SOLD!!!��
