Description
Marvel Comics Presents: Wolverine # 3 page 3
Written by Chris Claremont
Art by John Buscema &Klaus Janson
Marvel Comics - May 1988

I can't get enough of these Buscema-MCP pieces as they take me right back to being a kid reading comics and going to the comic shop. Great writing and beautiful ink work from Janson.

This issue came out just a few months after Wolverine vol 2 #1 (July 1988) and featured Jessán, aka Tyger Tiger, who first appeared in Claremont/Silvestri's UXM #229 (May 1988) a few months before.

This is a great early page in the 8 issue arc where we Jessan and Patch/Wolverine's early meeting not going so well for Wolverine. Despite what we see (spoiler alert) on this page Jessán and Patch become partners in overthrowing Roche.

Big thanks to Tommy for our shared love of this arc and for parting with this page during CAF Live!

Great action page with tons of beautiful movement in the Buscema breakdowns! The organic, textural finishes by Janson also kick ass!

Fast paced action by Buscema!  The Jason inks are adding the right amount of urban liveliness and grit to this mean street assault!

Buscema and Janson's gritter lines back the arc perfectly!  Great throwback get, George, congrats!

Gorgeous Wolverine page by the great John Buscema and Klaus Janson. I loved this era where Wolverine called himself Parch and lived in Madipoor. This is a fun scene featuring the first time Jessan and Wolverine run into each other. Literally.

Buscema and Janson combined for a great artistic one-two punch.  Fantastic action from what I think is the golden age of comic book collecting for quite a few of us here.
