Description

I've been hunting for an Ultimate Fantastic Four page for about a decade. So many hours spent just looking at listings, searching for a page that I liked that was within my budget. By the time I could justify getting one, the pickings were slim.

Finally got this baby at an auction! Often times, you have to pick between a cool pose or an action shot, and this page has both-- and full team shots to boot!

Carey and Ferry's two arcs were probably my favorite arcs from UFF, as it had a strong hard science fiction vibe to it, introducing Thanos, Ronan, and the Forever People (yup) to the Ultimate Universe.

Pascual's art was pretty unique at the time, as he chose against traditional inks and added tones digitally on these tight pencils, which would then be colored by the late, great Justin Ponsor. The look they achieved was mind blowing at the time-- and still fantastic to look at today.

It was very unique for that time and was a fun education to understand how they got from this Ferry work to the final look of the page. The Ultimate line was the breeding ground for innovation of the early 2000's.
